Pros

The lower level, non upper management people you work closely with are great. Room for promotions

Cons

Boys club. Mimecast pretends and presents itself as a family and it is not. They protect the coveted few and let them get away with whatever they want and will toss aside anyone else that doesn’t fall into place. They do not care about their employees in totality nor do they have a clear business model. They launch new products at 70% functionality with no clear plan for deployment, integration, enablement, hires one product specialist to support the entire org, makes it a huge focus for 6-12 months, upset the customers that try it (and it fails or creates a horrible experience) and then repeat again with a new product while the last one is still “getting figured out”

Pros

Hot Industry, valuable product, was awesome when we had a building to go to.

Cons

Work loads are piled on, the best people leave for more money, Mimecast claims diversity but is far from it. Sales is 90% under 30, white guys, they also make more $$ than most people. Acquisitions have been poorly integrated into our existing products (AT1), Engineering issues are causing our clients to leave. We are understaffed and can't keep up.

Mimecast Response

Thank you for providing this feedback and being transparent and open with your responses. We value these reviews and use the feedback to make improvements throughout our processes across all departments. These are definitely unprecedented times and although we do miss our wonderful facilities to work from daily, we have implemented effective remote work capabilities that adjusted accordingly. As for diversity initiatives, these are a work in progress and with the recent hire of our Global Manager of Diversity and Inclusion, we feel we are making quite a bit of progress in those important areas. We realize we do have improvements to be made and the work we are completing will be a huge accomplishment for the company. On the hiring front, we are continuing to hire in many key areas of the company to balance workloads and we continue to implement career initiatives as part of our professional development for employees. Our hope is with all of these changes, Mimecast will continue to be a best place to work for years to come and we are excited you continue to be a valuable Mimecaster! Thank you for the time you spent writing this review.
