Great Company to work for, still has some

Pros

Great people and culture. Good vacation benefits and if you are management level, good health benefits. Onsite wellness classes and massages are a huge plus. Ability to work remote/from home occasionally. Great opportunities for growth within the company.

Cons

Pay not very competitive. Most managers have other jobs in addition to their management duties, which distracts them from being able to focus energy on their direct reports. The company has some growing pains and there are a lot of top down decisions being made and people set in their ways. Also, the onsite food is terrible. The quality of the food being served is comparable to Denny's. The food does not reflect our "committed to wellness" core value in any way.

Thanks for leaving us your feedback! It's great to see you enjoying the awesome benefits that we have and working alongside your team members. We take a lot of pride in having great team members and developing talent. This year has been another great year of growth and development for us, and with that has come some natural changes, but our core values have been, and will continue to be a key part of our work here. Love your passion and thoughts about care of our team members. All of our team members have plenty to do and lots to accomplish, and this goes for managers as well as having responsibilities in other areas. However, taking time to meet with team members individually and gathering insight internally will be a continuing process for our leaders. I appreciate all your feedback, and thank you for all your hard work and contributions to our team!

Pros

- Amazing benefits for self or family. - Appreciate that everyones voice is heard, regardless of position or department. Managers are open to change. - Salary comparable to large public companies in US. - On site daycare with amazing hours and facility (No where else can you get this in the county).

Cons

- With the opening of the new building, there other buildings have not received the same attention. - The quarterly Core Values Assessment. This needs to be reviewed as the company is no longer 500 people, and our goals should be tied to performance metrics rather than individual's personal goals, for example wellness. - The MINDBODY Bistro is a disappointment. This needs to be addressed and quickly! I would be willing to pay more for good healthy food, that is consistent.

Pros

-Encouraging Atmosphere -Potential for Growth in an Awesome Market (Business+Wellness/Fitness+Technology) -Great People, Most people are so amazing and truly a pleasure to interact with -Great followthrough on encouraging Health & Wellness to its staff -CEO is very Real/Down-to-Earth and Truly Likable

Cons

-The lack of actual professionals who are experienced both in business and educational backgrounds related to their jobs -Compensation, this is not a joke. -The job description vs the actual day-to-day work is wildly different and more difficult -20 Days Paid Time off/Sick Days... Beware this is a very important detail -Work-Life balance is often preached with little opportunity to actually have balance, work is extremely stressful due to the lack of communication, lack of product training, lack of experienced leadership and lack of inter-departmental coordination/communication -There is no real training on the product, its trial by fire even after more than a year i wish i had the opportunity to truly learn the software properly, there are no such opportunities currently to learn the advanced mechanics of how the software is designed to function

Lots of good stuff in your review! Thank you! I’d love to respond to a few of your comments in detail: 1.Our new Director of Learning and Development is focused on the new hire experience and training our team members in a way that makes them even more successful and plugged in to the pulse of the company from day 1. 2. We have always had multiple tiers of training on the software, Platinum being the most intensive training for customer service professionals. Anyone can take these courses and learn more about the software. I agree that we need to be a little more in depth for other departments besides customer service, because let’s face it, our software ROCKS! 3. Regarding PTO, MINDBODY uses a bank PTO system. Check out this 2010 survey and see that even when compared to other companies who use the PTO bank, our policy of 20 vacation days per year is still very generous: http://bit.ly/1qAYG51. 4. Now, bear with me as I’m going to give you a little tough love: MINDBODY is looking for leaders who will step up and help make this company great without hesitation. If you see a process improvement, let your manager know! Do you see anything that needs critical change that could help us better do business and improve our process? Book a 1:1 with your manager to talk about it! These are great topics to bring up in your next quarterly check in, and you’ll be sure to get some extra bonus points for being a catalyst for change. We need you to make things happen for us. Maybe that starts with scheduling your recess breaks and making sure to go get a massage when you are starting to feel stressed. We give our employees full autonomy with managing their schedules and achieving balance. We work hard to play hard!
