The Worst Company Ever!

Pros

did not find any pros at all

Cons

This is the worst company I have ever worked at. Horrible unsupportive management. Clinical supervisors have their own snitches all over the place so you can not trust anybody. Human Resources Department is the most unprofessional you can ever find. There's no respect towards employees who by the way do not get paid that much at all for that type of stressful dangerous job. Also, no opportunities for professional growth. If you are looking for a supportive team, nice supervisors and if you are ready to dedicate yourself to a company, make sure you stay away from MAC and find a way better company to work for. There are so many other good companies out there who appreciate their employees.

Pros

The best part was the relationship developed with the children and learning more about the challenges of autism.

Cons

The staff and leadership were condescending to each other Leadership had people in place trying to move up by telling on other staff The staff was criticized even though they did their best Highly educated people were left feeling incapable Highly controlling environment, staff was publicly shamed Those that think your degree will be put use; think again you are told to jump and your answer should be "how high?" This job sucked the life out of me

Pros

The job itself is very rewarding and most of the coworkers are great! Most of the behavior therapists seem to care about their job and their clients but are not recognized for their efforts. I got a lot of great experience working with children with autism.

Cons

The upper management is horrible. Most of the behavior therapists, lead therapists and teachers are great but the supervisors do not do their job. Instead of providing supervision to therapists, I would hear them chatting with each other about non-work related issues (shopping, weekend plans, etc.) Even if you accrue many PTO hours, it is hard to get time off. I requested half a day off for a Dr. Appointment three months in advance and did not find out if the time off was approved until the morning of the appointment. Instead of providing supervision and adequate training to employees, supervisors often would make rude or condescending remarks with regards to how one was conducting therapy.
