Pros

Not micromanaged; they have good products overall.

Cons

Too numerous to mention, but here's a few: greedy franchisee who keeps raising the prices and now they are outrageously expensive and impacting business, expensive benefits, a manager who has no issues embarrassing people in front of others and constantly talks bad about others behind their backs (grow up!) , no follow through, a manager who explodes easily and threatens people with their jobs and clearly shows favoritism to those who suck up to him, working for free almost every day, UNLICENSED people working by themselves and testing patients and making ear impressions with NO oversight, ridiculous expectations of doing hearing aid cleanings in our office and not the lab because the good old boys from upstate New York think it's a good way to connect with the patient--this goes against the IL Dept. of Public Health and IHS's rules on infection control--how disgusting--and the vast majority of the slob H.I.S's don't even wash their filthy hands after cleaning a patient's hearing aids--can you say cross contamination??? The majority of H.I.S.'s working in this area are akin to snake oil salesmen, especially the slimy closers who pretend they're doctors and/or board certified (they're not!) and "from the company lab" and have zero qualms about lying through their teeth. This list could go on and on......

Pros

The pay is above average for the market, however you will be worked for every penny you make and more. The owners tend to hire family members that make a substantial amount more than everyone else. Knowing that you are working for a company that provides a great product to people that will now be able to hear is rewarding.

Cons

No real work-life balance, days off are selected by the owners, not by the days you choose. Management tends to speak down to employees in the stores by yelling at them when mistakes are made or quotas are not met. Employees in the store are afraid to call the corp office because of the way they are treated. Their is no trust from the main office, the stores always feel as if they are doing something wrong.

Pros

Growing Market. Has branded name recognition.

Cons

Min training. Set presentation with high pressure close. Have you posing as a MD with no back ground. Straight Commission that was over sold at interview. Over saturated offices in this market with limited opportunity to generate commissonable sales
