Pros

The benefit to help those who genuinely need help with their hearing. -Gaining praise from the elderly for your improvement of their existing hearing devices Flexible Schedule if needed for appointments -Typically 9AM-5PM which is nice Ability to run your own office with minimal upper management breathing down your back If you are a pushy sales person and can sell the product no matter what your thoughts are you can sell a good amount of hearing aids making money while doing such

Cons

100% Commission Paid training which is very minimal. Once you enter your prospective store you are immediately on commission, no leeway to get the store running from the last person who had failed out there. Sink or swim High Turnover 95% of the customers who come in are 67 years or older. There are few people who are knock-outs within this field that make the projected 50-60K annually as said by VP. Their technology is stuck in the early 90's. Completely locked on what you can see or do on the internet/Outlook If no tests come in then you literally clean hearing aids for the week and make no money at all. You HAVE to sell the product at the close of testing(which is a completely Canned Speech) if not, you will 90% of the time not hear back from them Haphazard training. You're thrown to the wolves when you enter your office environment. No room for growth except to pile years onto how long you've been working here. Once you are a consultant there is no where else to move upward.

Pros

Quiet office setting Helping people who have hearing loss

Cons

*Poor management *Racist ideology permeates *High pressure sales on a fragile population *disrespectful communication from all levels of management *overly demanding job description for the pay ; housekeeping, inventory, insurance, appointment setting, office supplies, hearing aid supplies, finance companies, book keeping, and assorted other duties as all location tasks fall on, what I have heard the position coined as, the "over-rated secretary". *if the Hearing Aid Consultant is a reasonable person the days with this company can be tolerable, but employee retention is a problem across the New England region.

Pros

There aren’t too many, there are a few gems in the company that will help you when you need it

Cons

Management and corporate will belittle you. Don’t let the pay offered fool you. They will pay you as little as possible because of “bonuses” that are based on how much money your office which they over sell- if you’re lucky you will get at least $100. They will deny your PTO and threaten to not correct punches even if you worked because that’s your fault. PCCs are constantly belittled and required to do a vast array of work for poor pay. If you say no to management you will be targeted and be punished for any minuscule mistake you make. HR will not protect you and heeds the command of whatever asinine instruction management gives them. The company bait and switched not only their patients but also their employees. If you want a company that consistently pressures you and puts you down this is the one for you. Every positive review on these sites are put on my corporate to bait you to join their “family”
