Pros

Health benefits are great and the insurance plans are cheap. No experience needed. Work from home. Most positions are Monday- Friday with set hours.

Cons

There is a steep learning curve, but once you know the material the job is not challenging and is actually extremely repetitive. They do not do background checks, several employees have criminal records. Some employees are very childish and take out their frustrations with rude callers by putting them on long holds/ time outs. Most reps get yearly raises of less than 2%. High turnover rates due to burnout. From time to time you will have to work mandatory overtime. No one truly prepares you for open enrollment. The healthy moda culture you may see from the outside is not felt on the inside. Coworkers can be toxic, especially if you are recognized for doing well.

Pros

Depending on the team/department, the people are really amazing. Friendly, helpful, most people have worked here for a long time so are very knowledgeable.

Cons

Because people have spent their entire career here, new ideas are not always welcomed. Management stays the same so there are not a lot of opportunities to move up. Female leadership has decreased, not increased (at the executive level) over the years. And those managers who behave badly or do not have a positive impact are tolerated while good people who report to them leave. Some departments have high turnover.

Thank you for sharing your experiences! We agree that we have some amazing people on our teams with expansive knowledge and skills. Regarding female leadership, Moda's demographic is more than 70% women. Our only decrease at the executive level was due to a retirement, but the executive position was replaced with an internal promotion by a prominent female member of the team. We appreciate your feedback about some departments having higher turnover than others and this is something we continually work on to coach and support team members to help them improve when possible. Not a Good Place to Work

Pros

Some of the people are nice and good to with.

Cons

Low pay. Terrible benefits. HR doesn't know how to work with people. Supervisors that have not previously worked in the field they are supervising. Extremely difficult upper management. Cold environment. They asked managers and HR to write good reviews on Glassdoor to enhance their image. It's in the newsletter.
