Truly A Great Place To Work

Pros

I've been working for Modern for about 5 years. I started out as a Service Manager for the Manchester Shop, then 8 months later I'm the General Manager of the Newton Shop. Everyone has a real opportunity for career advancement with Modern. From top to bottom everyone helps each other to become the best Pest Management Professionals in New England and eventually the World!

Cons

I'm sure that there are some cons, but I'm having a hard time coming up with any. I guess that if you do not like having autonomy this is not the job for you.

Fun, fast paced working environment

Pros

Excellent working environment. Emphasis on the team and making improvements for the team. Quarterly meetings help give all employees a forum to bring up concerns and ideas with HR actively listening. Family owned business shows appreciation for it's employees more so than in a corporately owned company.

Cons

Peak season is during the summer months which requires some long working hours. Winter months can be very quiet.

Pros

-This company knows that the employee is where the rubber meets the road. -We are are encouraged to communicate openly and hostly. -I feel empowered when I come to work, the people I report to listen to my concerns and suggestions. -If you do your job correctly job security is never-ending. -Pay is average for this kind of work. -Opportuntiy to move up if you work hard and you are dedicated in your current position. -This company is continuously trying to improve.

Cons

-You are held accountable for your actions. -New hire employees are quickly at the same level al long term employees. Need to improve benefit package for long-term employees, no seperation.
