Pros

TL;DR You'll enjoy working here if you're entrepreneurial and are good at handling unfamiliar tasks (as there are always new challenges at MM.) Pay isn't competitive and is a known issue. Culture: Modernizing Medicine hires a special kind of individual, you'll hear from everyone that getting through Talent Acquisition, recruiters, and interviewers is tough. They do a great job of attracting talented individuals and hiring for aptitude. Since the company is growing so rapidly, you'll get thrown into a lot of new types of projects working here. There is opportunity to transition to new roles within the company, since they do a lot of internal hiring as needs arise. Working at MM will definitely be a resume builder. The culture here is vibrant and feels young and fresh (not necessarily age wise, but technology and process-wise.) Benefits: The company offers healthy catered lunches, fruit and trail mix, free beverages and espresso and they sponsor fitness activities you can take part in during working hours/after-hours. The company also has treadmill rooms were you can work on your laptop while walking and a zen room if you need time to chill out. Work: The work is satisfying and it's pretty cool to work for the CEO. You'll get to work with new tech and build your skill-set.

Cons

Since the company hires junior level talent and develops skill-set over time, the salary doesn't match job duties. The product is lacking in some areas, but there is a lot of communication about bugs/missing features and there continues to be on-going developing of the product. The company needs to reach profitability in order to sustain itself.

Good but not as expected

Pros

Good perks, Salaries are ok

Cons

This company is suffering from growing pains and doesn't really know what it is. It markets itself (to employees) as a silicon-valley-style cool startup and they even have the arcade machines in the hallways, the problem is: nobody uses them. Besides the free lunches and relaxed dress code it's just another regular corp with the top down structure and inaccessible all-powerful executives which they hire from other industries to feel like a big company so very little chance to grow.

Pros

Modernizing Medicine is truly an innovative company. If you are looking for a rewarding challenge and opportunity for growth in your career you, you would be lucky to be a part of the movement. You always know where you stand and management encourages you to further your career within the company while giving you the guidance and tools to do so. I have been promoted twice and continue to grow in my professional career directly because of this. Here, you truly have an opportunity to earn your place. The Sales force has clear goals and an outstanding team mentality. If you succeed we succeed. You can always look to management for direction in getting where you want to go...and beyond and you are rewarded for doing so. There is a high compensation potential. You feel comfortable reaching out to other departments and sharing ideas with management (your feedback is taken seriously). There are regular team meetings where you are encouraged to share what you are learning, what works and what doesn't. There are regular training's and one on one personal meetings with managers to be sure on a regular basis you have the tools to succeed. Those that have been there longer and in higher management truly care about your personal success and I have had impactful mentors. The energy at the company overall is "googlesque" and you are always thinking. The Executive team is transparent and approachable. We always know what is going on with the financials and direction of the company. There are monthly "First Friday" company wide meetings where we get updates of our goals and the successes of the different departments, followed by a company outting. Along with various other opportunities and clubs to volunteer and contribute to the community in your own personal way. The facility and employee perks are just an added bonus, with lunch provided 2 days/week to promote socializing with those in other departments. Breakfast on Fridays is hosted in conjunction with a presentation/Q&A of a specific feature or topic around the software solution we provide. Outstanding environment to further your career.

Cons

High energy is needed and with government requirements and the healthcare industry having constant changes, so does our strategy. This is not necessarily a con, but you need to always be on your toes, willing to learn and up to meet the challenge. If you want a career and not just a job, it is worth it!
