Great collaboration across teams We work from home, from any country of the world, but distance is nothing compared to how close we are and feel to each other Co-founders and leadership team really care about their team Lots of opportunity to learn and grow with the company

Cons

You don't get to see your peers as often as you'd like to, but you can still video call them ;)

Pros

I love the flexibility of working from home. I have freedom to complete my tasks as I see fit. There is no micro managing. I am constantly challenged (in a good way) by my peers. This is a place to get a lot of experience, both technical and business, and grow your career. Everyone is completely passionate about their interests - be it technology, design, music etc.

Cons

Modus Create is a self funded start up. There is a tremendous amount of freedom that comes in a start up environment. This flexibility is not for everyone. This is an environment full of people passionate about everything they do - this is not an environment for a person who does not want to be fully vested in the task at hand.

One of the best places to work remotely

Pros

There is a reason why Modus Create is often rated as one of the best places to work remotely. It's because the company has been doing so for over a decade and has really fine-tuned its processes and culture around distributed teams. You get to work with some of the biggest companies on the planet. The pay is great. And the culture is very close-knit. The two founders are very different and complement each other really well. One is more inward/team focused and the other is more client/business focused. This is a delicate balance for any company, and the deep trust between the founders helps us in maintaining it. Everyone is very approachable and willing to help. Everyone is also very respectful of each others' timezones. Modus isn't a company for people who need to be motivated. It is a platform where you own your career. Not everyone is going to like it, and that is okay.

Cons

I haven't had a chance to meet any Modite in person. Perhaps this will be fixed when the pandemic is over.

Pros

Development team is excellent - top to bottom.

Cons

No management. No focus. Lack of accountability = a lot of finger pointing when things go wrong. CEO is rarely involved and often disconnected. The office is a ghost town. There's a lack of "team" feeling throughout. It can feel a bit like being in the court of the Queen of Hearts.
