Pros

Collaborative and knowledgeable teams across the organization. Mozilla’s culture promotes openness, and many coworkers are supportive and willing to help beyond their roles.

Cons

The department has become a toxic environment under poor leadership under Chris S. The manager is hypocritical claims the team is a “family” and says he doesn’t want anyone to leave the service desk, but turns around and undermines employees behind their backs. Voicing ideas or opinions is often met with resistance or passive aggressive pushback. If the manager is out for a day, the team runs smoothly, suggesting the issue isn’t the staff, it’s the leadership. The need to control everything feels more like a power trip than genuine management.

Cons

Sometimes lack or processes in some areas or too many in others slows down decision making.

- good projects to work on - meaningful work - potential(see below for pessimist view) for good future growth

Cons

- missing long-term leadership(revolving door every 2 years it feels) - work can be complex - work on legacy code pains
