This organization has no idea how to manage money. They've been in trouble for years and have continued to overspend. Leadership claims to follow their core values but their actions are completely the opposite. The CEO gave himself a $900,000 raise last year while everyone else got nothing in terms of bonuses and tiny 2.5% salary increases even for excellent performance. The top level leaders are way out of their league, having never led an organization of this size prior to coming to MultiCare. This organization needs new leadership and a new vision. Acquiring Yakima Valley memorial hospital while the rest of the organization was losing hundreds of millions of dollars made no sense. They like to keep people around who agree with leadership, people who don't rock the boat, which means their values of honesty and integrity are lies. Employee satisfaction scores have plummeted, staff are incredibly overworked, and they are cutting corners everywhere just to survive. This organization is about to crumble and fall. Don't risk your career by signing on here.

I worked at MultiCare for just under 5 months - I was hired for what I thought was a full-time -long term employment opportunity. It turns out, that I was used for my expertise to train staff and assist the organization in succeeding in their necessary assessments. After the staff was trained and the assessments were passed and over, I walked in a few days later and without any warning was told to collect my things from my office and escorted out of the building with the reasoning of "Thank you for your service here, however your position is no longer needed." Soon there after I discovered that this is apparently a common practice with the MultiCare organization.
