Pros

There are several nice, capable people who work at RCG but there is a small circle of core people that get all of the attention. All practice areas are led by a single person with a small cadre of lieutenants. After that they go to the contract market for talent. Internal processes are given lip service and are out dated

Cons

The ethics of the company are questionable. Employees are not valued and if you land on the bench you will be let go if they can't place you. No career development. Compensation is on the low end. Regional VPs are sleazy.

Pros

While many in this space have struggled in this business climate over the last few years, RCG has managed to make steady progress, thanks to a very talented group of senior resources. They are poised for solid growth in the coming years, and the management team recognizes that fast growth comes with a set of challenges, and seem to be gearing up to address this.

Cons

There are pockets of excellence where teams are very successful. These best ( I prefer calling them good practices) practices need to be instituted across the board. The management team recognizes this, and are addressing it, so it's not really a negative.

Pros

RCG is a leading edge company that is all-in with hadoop expertise. The analytics engagements that I get involved with are rich business consulting gigs. They seem to go out of their way to protect & retain their talent.

Cons

Must follow a rigorous delivery process. They take this very seriously. Not really a con however.
