Pros

You get to build healthy relationships with clients and encourage them to succeed in life.

Cons

Horrible management; very unprofessional , gossip between staff, no support to staff from management, no true support to residents. If you are looking for a job where you can impact lives and help people and go further in life this is not the company. All they care about is keeping beds filled and money. And if you are looking for a job where you can excel in this is not it unless you are willing to go against your morals, values and become someone you’re not for money.

Pros

I left the agency to pursue other opportunities and returned a few years later. After working for other agencies I cant truly say that they put the care of the client first, there is focus of trauma informed care from the top down. If and employee is struggling to meet their job expectations, the focus is on improving the employee rather than just cutting ties. While there is always room for improvement the culture over all feels very healthy.

Cons

It's a nonprofit so the salaries are limited to what the contractor (DCF, CSSD etc) is willing to pay.

Pros

Decent pay, decent benefits, good technology and some decent perks

Cons

Mixed information from management, very hard stressful work, no emotional support for staff, management throws staff under bus, hr is incompetent and has no education about what staff does, total disconnect between management and direct care staff, expected to work constant overtime that you are not compensated for.
