Poor place to work.

Pros

The only pro I can think of are the team mates. They’re good hard working people.

Cons

Overworked, no recognition, no promotions, no pay rise, just more work. Management is very poor. The director and line managers are clueless and have no class. Toxic culture. They care more about money than people’s health. In the company, the same people get promotions almost every year without offering anything whatsoever. The real hard workers constantly get over looked, it’s actually laughable how they’re treated. Company is full of racism (executives and management dominated by white skin colour says it all), favouritism and feminism (in certain departments).

Pros

Lots of great people on the ground (below management level). Very helpful/welcoming. Onboarding very thorough, some may see as tedious but ensures readiness to get stuck in. Good opportunity to get some experience on the CV for 12-18 months. Wouldn’t recommend getting too comfy…

Cons

Benefits very poor. Feels like they are given because they have too, rather than wanting to reward employees (one example minimum pension contribution despite being a large, profitable company) Lay offs affecting international team - very unexpected considering the waffle we were all told about being in an excellent financial position across the board a few weeks earlier.

Pros

Enjoy my position, good work / life balance since adopting remote/hybrid working model post-Covid. Pay / Bonuses are also really good too with regular increases. manager is great, not micromanaged and supported. Get to visit US occasionally too.

Cons

US based organisation, can be ruthless and does not get international culture at all. Recently made lots of staff redundant within the international team, backfilled their workload to the US team, even though the company is seemingly in a good position and want to grow internationally. Makes no sense. New leadership has done a total restructure to cut spending on wages and reduce headcount, not necessarily the correct thing to do for global expansion.
