Pros

The program actually works for clients if they use it Gym membership Relaxed dress code Close to public transportation Consistent hard work does go recognized if your manager isn't threatened by you

Cons

Constant change Management tries to spin things in a positive way but is really only talking down to employees and convinced that we are that stupid to believe them Company only cares about sales and service is a distant second High pressure sales tactics are highly encouraged Sales script is designed to scare potential clients into buying a lot earlier than really needed CEO goes on the same rant every month about a fake term he created called "Athleadership" Inside sales reps are instructed to convince families that they requested a call from NCSA when they really didn't and due to a partnership were able to obtain their contact information Every meeting by an executive gets rescheduled and usually within 30 minutes until meeting time When sales are slow they buy inside sales reps lunch to keep them in house instead of letting them leave for lunch Pay is a joke unless you are an outside sales rep "Work in sports" = revolving door with extremely high turnover rate that management doesn't care about. They will always find the next sucker to buy into that term

Pros

I got to help kids get to the next level to play sports. Company has a lot of potential.

Cons

You can tell which reviews on here are written by NCSA quality control. Management only cares about $. Nothing is ever good enough (coming from someone who consistently hit quotas). They always had a "what have you done for me lately" attitude and do not reward those who actually get the job done. Everyone who works here sees this toxic work environment, but are afraid to speak up because of the threat of being kicked out the door unprofessionally.

Pros

Remote- working from home .. that’s it -:)

Cons

The sales specialist job is not what’s advertised. They will lure you in by promising you that you have the potential to make a 6 figure salary. Don’t fall for this! Most new specialist struggle to earn $3000 per month, and that’s including commissions. The ability to earn more is tied to your ability to close the deal with most families who have no clue what NCSA is and why they are on the call. You are expected to sell a $1500-4000 membership to families in a 30 min meetings. Keep in mind the families have been told by the coordinators that the services are free, so when you do disclose costs as the specialist closing is close to impossible, due to families feeling misled. The top 5% specialist who have been with the company get the leads/families who come to the call informed and ready to pay. They are the specialist earning the real money. The turnover for the role is high, and most new specialists quit within 1-2 months. My training class started with 8 of us, and within 2 1/2 months only 4 were left. I left shortly thereafter, and two other people are on their way out as well. You are expected to lie to families and tell them that they need to buy this today/now, if not their kid won’t be recruited. Some of these kids are only in the 8th grade, and don’t even know what sport they will play in high school. One kid was 4’11, 75 lbs trying to play football, never made his high school team, never played the sport before at all, and was on a college sport recruiting call. I had no clue why this kid was even on the call, the VP listened to the call, and said it’s imperative to make the family feel the sweat on how they are behind in the recruiting process at 13, and need to spend $4000 today to get recruited! Lastly, don’t expect to have a life. They will say in the beginning during training that you can choose to be off on Fridays. Once you leave training they will say Fridays are reserved for top specialist only. You will be expected to work EVERY night and weekend, while being given one day a week to take off. The off day option will be a SLOW sales day. If you do try to enjoy your off day the VP will remind you that you are most likely not doing well in sales, and you are advised to work instead of taking off. To sum it up it’s a cold call job! You are calling families who have no clue what NCSA is, and you have 30-40 minutes to bait them in to buy. You are expected to meet with at least 6 families per night, and do follow up calls in between while waiting for the next call. If you’d like to roll the dice to see if it’s worth it, go right ahead. If not, save yourself the stress and apply elsewhere, somewhere will you actually will be valued and have a chance to make money! You won’t be valued here, they will tell you EVERYDAY that you are not hitting the sales target and you need to make families feel the urgency to buy NOW!
