Pros

-Free bagels once a month when I worked there? Nothing else really.

Cons

This is the worst company I've ever worked for. Management at the time wanted to outsource mobile work and scoffed at the idea of me building their app (I'm a lead mobile developer now btw). This company is a laughing stock in the Chicago software contracting scene. Their internship program is just an easy way of getting free-labor. I knew someone who got around the free internship, but he mentioned that some of the coworkers were hostile to him because of that. Management would give advice like, "add this image of a calendar to this page" even though they had a product / designer. There would be no rhyme or reason other than to flex their power. Pay is subpar. They brought in a consultant to help with the codebase. We got on the topic of salary. Because there were 10+ engineers at the time, the consultant mentioned we should have been paying over $1 million dollars a year on the team. But my manager mentioned it was closer to $500k. The consultant's face turned white. Yup.

Pros

work from home occasional moments of levity between coworkers/parents/student athletes may speak with some prestigious names in sports history

Cons

hours... 830-6 is brutal and everything comes back to making 100+ dials a day. Last January they changed bonus and commission structure to include enrollments, something we have 0 control over. Making enrollments dependent on advancing further up the ladder. 30% + of the leads are recycled and families that don't want contacted again, yet can't get off the mailing list. You're divvied up into teams for some unknown reason... there are hardly any competitions between teams and there's no real incentive for RC's here. Managers and senior leadership acting like team numbers matter is hilarious. Everything is a dog and pony show besides dialing out... They will dress up everything as a way to improve your calls and this n that... When push comes to shove, you're met with "gotta dial more!" And that is all that management cares about.

Pros

The mission in helping student athletes go on to continue their educational and athletic career at the collegiate level is second to none. The people and teammates are exceptional. I've been part of this team for 5+ years, I have a tremendous amount of pride being part of this organization. Leadership is very receptive to feedback from the team, and there are countless opportunities to build and refine your professional skillset.

Cons

There are no cons for me at this time.
