Pay can be good if you can make it out of the bottom levels

Cons

Upper management is terrible from VPs to Senior management. there is zero help to new hires. they don't care about you all they care about is money. VPs will contradict what upper management says. Work life balance is the worst I've ever seen you have to work 6 days both weekend days are mandatory and you're on the phones until 1am ET Can not miss time for vacation. you will be punished and be stuck in the bottom level of call value. Most of the VPs are old and out of touch with new employees they can not relate to one another. It is the good ol boys club if you aren't in that club you are not relevant. You have to be willing to lie to kids and families about the possibility of playing division 1 athletics the foundations of what ncsa does is based around giving every athlete the belief they can play D1 which is not true.

One of the most toxic work environments imaginable

Very tough to find a pro about this job. I’d say being able to watch sports during work but even that got taken away

Cons

Zero work life balance. Like none. If you are not on your death bed and have some free time even on weekends you are expected to be working. Underpaid and over worked with almost no chance of promotion. It takes them two weeks to train a new RC, you are easily replaceable. Please do not give meaningful hours of your life to this company

It’s extremely disheartening to hear that your experience was not a positive one. The work that we do at NCSA is indeed fast-paced and with that comes certain standards for performance and reliability. However, we understand the importance of a healthy work-life balance and we make a conscious effort to support our teammates and empower them to maintain the appropriate balance for themselves. Despite the ongoing pandemic, we provided more promotional opportunities to our teammates and more support remotely last year than we have ever before. We also provided a significant amount of benefits specific to time away from the role for those in need that was exercised by many. We will continue to listen to our teammates, make the appropriate changes to enhance the overall experience, and invest in our people as they are biggest and most important element to our success as a company.

Pros

I have worked at a few companies and NCSA has the best culture and team. There is a ton of opportunity and you make it and take from it what you want. Professionally there are opportunities to do more and step up for more responsibility and visibility. There is a lot of work but there is advancement if you are interested. Personally the environment is fun (lots of generally cool people and competitive athletes who like to work hard and play hard). The company tries to keep things fun and interesting and provides us more when they can (Happy Hours, Company parties, monthly lunches, bagel Fridays, improved sick and vacation, tried to update schedules with more flexibility, sports teams, etc.). Really important also is that we have the ability to make a difference (paid Give Back Day!) and working with high school athletes to help them with their futures.

Cons

Honestly, I can't think of anything. It's a great company, great location and great people.
