Rollercoaster ride and mostly downhill recently

Pros

People are cooperative and friendly. If you are driven and want it, you can get a lot of responsibilities and learn a lot.

Cons

Company culture and decisions are driven by one man only. There is nothing wrong with that except top management is egoistical and does not listen to anyone. He needs to know more than everyone and be the center of every conversation. If you know more than him in your specialty area, you are wrong - that's it. He surrounds himself with "yes-man". Top management is openly rude and would humiliate employees having a different opinion in public. Exec management fosters a very political environment. Be careful to not get on the wrong side of the wrong person -- it does not matter how hard you work or how much you contribute. Annual review cycle is just a beauty pagent and not merit based at all. No appreciation of employees.

Great place to work!

Pros

People get fairly compensated and recognized/promoted for good work. If you are good, you can be sure you'll be promoted here. I can make recommendations and implement them, rather than have politics stand in the way. If you do well, you get follow-up RSU grants every year which at other companies may only be limited to executives. Great work life balance and flexibility - people can adjust their schedules to allow for picking up kids, etc.

Cons

No free lunch or subsidized cafeteria like many other tech firms in the valley.

Pros

It is good place to have ability to implement what you think is right and next have a recognition. Freedom to express thoughts and ideas, very open and supportive top management.

Cons

Just a bit messy dev environment, since company is HDW development company. Software usually on the second role, and never a top priority.
