Pros

Challenging work, co-workers are amazing, great support structure, growth opportunities, recognition for hard work, competitive compensation and benefit packages.

Cons

NV5 has experienced some growing pains. Going from a small company to a mid size company in a short amount of time has shown some weak areas, but management seems to tackle issues that arise efficiently. I expect that over time, the growing pains will subside leaving the opportunity to be more proactive.

Pros

I can't think of any, aside from being nearby where I live, but now that makes no difference to me. Stay clear if you actually value you're livelyhood and outcome of you're career.

Cons

They are under staffed, and expect results with out any planning or direction. The engineers above you throw you under the bus for their poor planning and empty promises. The company owners and executives hire and fire with out any concern for your well being or career.

Pros

Very few pros left in a firm that is a shell of what it once was. Junior and mid-level staff are an asset even though they are unappreciated.

Cons

Ownership and senior management don't understand that their people (their skills and reputation) are the only assets a consultant engineering firm has. No investment being made for the long term. Cost cutting seen as key to financial success. No idea how to win work and raise revenue. Firm went public in name only as Dickerson Wright still holds a majority of shares and retains complete and unchallenged control. Presents fire-side acquisitions bought on the cheap as a business strategy to staff and the markets.
