Pros

I have teams and teams of people to help me in any area I need. I'm supported by the direct staff and directing DVM. I have strong feelings about a few things and we have been taking about other options for my hospital. There is every kind of continuing education you can imagine. They have policies to keep the reps from just barging in anytime they are in the area. They have teams that assist in marketing, wellness plans, finance, IT, etc to keep me from having to focus on it so much.

Cons

It's because enough that sometimes things can feel lost as they trickle down. Sometimes all the areas make things confusing. Sometimes roll outs are done too quickly and they get messy. Nothing can be perfect. It's important to give grace.

Pros

It's very much site dependent, but some hospital managers are really good. Usually NVA has a very "hands off" approach in that they don't enact major policy changes to clinics, especially when the clinic is purchased by them. The health benefits are decent when you are the only person on an insurance plan.

Cons

Up to a 3% raise every year during your annual review, and it's merit based. Read that again. It doesn't even balance out the cost of living/inflation. HR is not particularly useful when you have a complaint/don't care unless it significantly impacts the earnings of the company. If you want to add a significant other to your health insurance plan, it cost around $200 dollars to do so. The workman's comp is very picky about what situations they will cover. A coworker had a significant injury that impacted their job for several months, and required surgery as well as physical therapy. Their claim was denied due to their injury occurring when they were "doing an activity outside of their job assignment". They were helping someone clean when they fell.... but because said cleaning was in an area outside of their "role/area", their claim was denied and they had to pay everything out of pocket.
