Pros

The hours are steady. Except when they aren't. Trainers are good, and training is fairly streamlined. Get with the right crew and your shifts will go smoother.

Cons

Constant fluctuation in hours, poor management, horrible wages, dull work. Practically lays everyone off between June and July until hours pick up again.

Thank you for the feedback. We appreciate the chance to hear about your experience and take all responses seriously. The printing industry is very seasonal and while we have improved in securing business to fill in our low spots, it is not possible to completely balance the work throughout the entire year. Nahan Printing, Inc. values internal promotions and giving our employees the opportunity to grow. We currently have 26 internal openings in which employees are eligible to receive up to 4 increases their first year.

Pros

Good company to work for because of the team atmosphere. Projects can be challenging but there is a collaborative work effort.

Cons

As the company struggles economically employees are asked to take un-paid time off throughout the year to offset the lack of profit.

Long-Term Disappointment

Pros

Salaries and wages are modest. Personal relationships within departments and between certain departments are warm and friendly. The working environment is relaxed if you've developed the ability to deal with BS on a regular basis.

Cons

Raises have not been awarded throughout the past year. Employees are being asked to take 2-4 months of voluntary layoffs/QTO. Salaried office positions do not pay well and employees are expected to answer their company cell phone when not at work to meet the demands of a production environment. Communication is absolutely horrendous: management, scheduling, production, and office workers are frequently in the dark about what's going on until it happens. There is an utter lack of professionalism. Almost everything is done by "winging it"; standard operating procedures are created and codified by the first person to figure out a working strategy.
