Pros

If you are lucky enough to find the co workers not working with management - you'll meet some great people and great friends! Good experience for working legit non standard companies in the future! Office is in the middle of beautiful downtown CLEVELAND!

Cons

Every single thing! High workloads that are very hard to maintain - and when you do work hard to maintain (overtime, skipping breaks, never leaving your desk, etc.) you still don't receive any type of recognition unless you are best friends with management - then you'll be a manager with no prior experience within a few years - meanwhile licensed adjusters with several years of experience are never promoted as promised and are treated literally as though they can be fired tomorrow. Oh that's right let's not forget that NGIC likes to mass fire people with no justification or notice even though they knew for weeks. Communication sucks! This company is not professional and not a company that you will help you develop. Do not trust management AT ALL. It's everyone for themselves ... don't believe it...go ahead and apply and you'll quickly find out.

Pros

Gifts like shirts, games, worker appreciation days, special events and plenty of OT

Cons

This place is a complete mess and is suffering from an identity crisis. The communication is terrible, no one knows anything about anything and everything. From the management to the workers everyone is faking it until they make it. Micromanaging is common practice, they review everything. This company pays terrible and raises are subpar. They change policies and practices every other month. This company has a point system that is completely unfair. All in all pass this job up. If you need a paycheck until something better comes along, go for it but please dont get comfortable with the chaos that is National General.
