Pros

Stellar work life balance, god-tier benefits including 401(k) that matches up to 7% (PLUS cash balance pension that increases with years of service), mostly good people in the company. Insanely generous bonuses especially when you get good ratings.

Cons

Things move slow, things can be disorganized and chaotic. Technology is antiquated. Company insists on presence in the office despite it being needless, and the office itself is rather dull. Extremely hierarchical culture akin to military where you’re excluded from meetings based on “rank” and forced to find information you need second-hand. VP and above leadership seems to have a consistent disconnect with the rest of us plebes.

Pros

Reasonably steady/predictable hours, limited overtime, excellent health benefits and time-off. Remote 4 days a week and in-office twice a week.

Cons

Quasi-military feeling, corporate finance riddling with distrust and micromanagement, leadership parrots all the right words (about work life balance, appreciating people, etc.) but is insincere, mid-level leadership aims for vagueness and avoid decision-making to side-step responsibility, feedback from staff-level is encouraged but then normally backfires on those who decide to speak up and provide constructive feedback.

Pros

Job tasks are doable but it’s difficult to meet production goals, coworkers and supervisors are nice though.

Cons

If you’re a contractor, good luck. Aston Carter/Aerotek doesn’t care about you, you’re just a number to fill their hiring quota. You’re also severely underpaid at only $13/hour and have 0 negotiation power, even though “lower level” positions directly through NFCU are paid $16+
