Toxic Environment

Pros

It used to be a good company with management where employees were given respect and were heard by HR and leaders, but now it’s a different place.

Cons

ETS department leaders have hired cheap and undeserving managers from outside, especially people with Indian origin who come from offshore and consulting companies or companies with bad repo, they are bringing toxic work environment where micromanagement, throwing your direct reports under the bus, threatening them, pressurizing them to work off hours and weekends has become a norm.

Draining Job

Pros

Pay was decent Bonus Incentives (When Cutler was still there)

Cons

Boy it was great during Cutlers time ran like a well oiled ship but when the pandemic hit and McDuffie took over it was DEI slammed down your throat with mandatory jabs or thrown out against your will if you refused. Be in queue non stop with 30 minute wait times. She was a disaster. Forcing the shot on people was where it went to far such a controversial mandate and made the place during her tenure a DEI circus with scores of people leaving. Being stuck on phones basically forever with nearly a zero percent chance of moving out into back office positions. I tried so many times to network and shadow had exceeds on every PAR and still nothing. Good luck and for NFCU to post canned responses saying that's not our culture... during mcduffie's time it was straight dumpster fire! I cannot speak for the new CEO. Good luck.

Pros

-Great Benefits -Accommodations for new and nursing mothers were excellent -Facilities on Campus were great -Overall friendly leadership -Equipment was serviceable in a timely manner to complete job duties

Cons

-Work/Life balance was not the best -Extreme burnout due to fast paced call center operations -Not much support from leadership to address burnout -Not many opportunities for departmental promotions out of the contact center -The system will micromanage your day while you are being told that you are in charge of your day -I had to put in a medical accommodation to secure a day shift when I was struggling for 2 years on a night shift with overall lack of sleep and frequent health issues.
