Pros

Great people getting the work done - but that's where it ends

Cons

Management is a good-ole-girls/boys network. Massive lack of empathy, listening skills, and ANY semblance of managerial or technical skills. Most were jettisoned from Cummins - Cummins was the lucky one. Looked like upward opportunities existed, but no longer. Revenues are 70% of revenues 1 1/2 years ago. Bleeding cash.

Pros

When I worked at nelson global products I was making a decent income and management promising potential for all employees

Cons

When everyone had high hopes and were tired of being strung along the company supervisors were sent to layoff half the company they all claimed they had no Idea of course . I was in the process of buying a home and when I asked my supervisor if my job was at risk he told me to buy the house after putting my hard earned money on the line a couple days later he said I was being layed off I lost it all...thanks ahole

Cut Your Way to Profitability?

Pros

Absolutely positively none. I was going to say the people (co-workers) but being that morale hit an all-time rock bottom people were so depressed it wasn't any fun.

Cons

They really have a different philosophy when it come to business. They literally truly believe that they can cut their way to profitability. The "Hired Gun" goes around and "fixes" and /or shuts plants down based on 15 minute walks around the manufacturing floors. They have the mindset that anything that can be done here can be done as good or better anywhere else (China, Mexico, other plants, etc) and customer relationships are strained or severed in the process.
