This company does not value its employees. You’re treated like an interchangeable part with little consideration for your skills or input. During my time, I was asked to "interview" developers who had already been hired for roles far outside their expertise. It’s clear the focus is on securing the cheapest possible labor, regardless of fit, and if you haven’t been there for a decade or longer, your job security is shaky at best.
Leadership is disorganized and uncommunicative. I often received conflicting information from different leaders, only for them to feign surprise when something didn’t align. Conversations about concerns or requests felt like exercises in futility—acknowledged in the moment, forgotten immediately after.
The work itself is monotonous and unrewarding. The majority of projects are about firefighting rather than building anything meaningful. Clients are often disrespectful, and management offers no support. I was once reprimanded for asking a client to speak to me with basic courtesy. Most of the work feels like busywork—endless meetings, planning features that never get built, or churning out rushed deliverables that no one appreciates.
The company culture is equally uninspiring. There’s an attempt to foster camaraderie, but it feels superficial and out of touch. A narrow and overplayed "nerd" identity is pushed, which doesn’t resonate with everyone.
Finally, my layoff experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Without going into specifics, a lawyer I consulted raised questions about the company’s actions, but pursuing the matter further wasn’t feasible for me. I moved on, but I left with no trust in their integrity.
