Pros

A unique work environment that you will not get in any other business office around. Many perks, including a building full of like-minded nerds.

Cons

Rate of growth severely starting to affect what the original dream was for the company.

Pros

Free soda, food and swag.

Cons

* No standard for yearly raises. * Bonus system (PBR) favors those that are lazy and lie on their time sheet. * Developers need to have perfect timesheets with 40hours of development on it, or they will get yelled at by management. * Majority of developers and project managers have no idea how to develop quality software. * Developers write software requirements * Developers write test cases * Arrogance that they are the best, and anyone not working for them is not worth their time. * Doesn't matter how much experience you had when hired, because it isn't "Nerdery Experience", and your project lead will most likely be someone with less than a years worth of profession software development.

Pros

- Rapidly growing company (also a con) generates lots of advancement opportunities - Highly intelligent and passionate workforce - Mostly interesting work and tons of opportunities to learn new things - Fast paced and challenging projects - Great perks (dedicated "Nerd Support" teams, catered lunchs, company happy hours, great events) - People are genuine and the culture creates an environment that encourages helping others and empowering people to transcend their roles - Management encourages work/life balance, even though its not always possible in the face of looming deadlines and tight budgets.

Cons

- Growth has resulted in several space management issues (dense layouts, constantly moving people around, separating groups, etc) - Efficiency based business model causes many problems with resourcing and time management - Company is still adapting to to managing a larger workforce. Mistakes are being made but I'm confident good intentions are there. - Overall strategic direction of company is not clear. Company lost its greatest visionary in Luke Bucklin and Mike Derheim is not the same type of leader. - If you are part of the production department, you are expected to bill 40 hours per week, which means you are probably working 45-50.
