Pros

Open-minded and intelligent group that is deeply devoted to employee happiness.

Cons

As a development shop, work is often defined by client demand and is often unpredictable. IMO, The Nerdery compensates for this well with several perks, and a really fun group of people to work with.

Pros

- Voted top med-size work place last year, and I definitely agree - Weekly happy hours - Fridays at 4:30 - Very open, respectful, and supportive culture - Really good about recognizing people - Filled with really smart people - Lots of career opportunities since it is growing extremely fast (doubling in size & revenue every year for past few years)

Cons

- You need to be 110% while you are at work - Very fast paced and can be stressful (so although you can work a typical 40 hour week, you might be thinking about it after you leave) - Developers & PMs need to keep their timesheet accurate to within 15 mins - Growing pains given the breakneck growth

Pros

Great culture, hard working co-workers, general awesomeness, fast paced environment, great projects. There is a ton of opportunity to grow professionally and learning starts day one. Most of the employees genuinely love The Nerdery and it shows in the cooperative spirit of the team.

Cons

The pace at which The Nerdery grows can be considered a con. It takes hard work and rigor to keep up with the growing demand for custom software. Hundreds of projects and clients can feel unmanageable at times.
