Pros

- Sales is well compensated. - Dog friendly work place. - Free beer after 4 or 4:30. - Opportunity to learn some important lessons. - Many different projects = many different clients = many opportunities to network and find your next job.

Cons

- Developers, Solution Engineers, and SPM/Project Managers are severely underpaid. - Frustrating projects. Most SPMs don't have any previous project management experience. Even less have software lifecycle management experience. - Nepotism rules. If you're not related to someone on the executive team, it's very likely that you'll be passed up for someone who is. - Volatility ahead. Dead set on explosive / uncontrolled growth, inexperienced and unqualified people are being promoted up instead of bringing in experienced leaders from the outside. Nobody knows what's going on. - Pride or arrogance, the place reeks of school spirit gone way too far. It's great to take pride in what you do, where you work, who you work with -- but it's dangerous when you become complacent instead of being humbled by feedback. You'll hear more "we're badass" or "we're the next Google" instead of "Sorry for screwing up your project, client. Let's figure out how we can avoid it next time."

Pros

The Nerdery's greatest asset is it's thoughtful, adaptive process for handling projects. Our project management process is constantly evaluated, thoroughly tested and improved. The Nerdery can handle your biggest project and your small-to-mid sized ones as a result. Developers are treated extremely well, and are given every opportunity to grow. We have Developer Advocates that are driven to make the lives of other developers better. We train developers not only on technical skills, but project management and interpersonal skills as well. Great place to work for seasoned developers. I wish I had found out about this place years ago.

Cons

We are growing so fast that it has caused some issues. Sometimes teams are reorganized due to the acquisition of new talent or the loss of existing talent. Such frequent change has become a source of frustration.
