Pros

Fun place to work Challenging projects Excellent opportunities for Collaboration Lots of support and assistance to developers to be and become awesome. Where pros become pros and super pros become leaders.

Cons

This place needs to do a better job of getting their name out within our industry and our area. We need to do a better job of attracting and keeping top notch talent. We need to branch out and become a national solutions provider.

Pros

If you enjoy a fast paced environment, in a company that values transparency, the democracy of good ideas, and genuinely cares about their employees - you will probably not like The Nerdery, you will love it. They have won the Employee feedback based, best place to work award the last 2 years in a row for a company their size. Does this mean they are perfect, or content to rest on their laurels? No - they want to be so much better, and are always looking for ways to improve. This is one of the reasons I enjoy working here, is I am given the freedom and responsibility to do the right thing, and recognized if I do, and worked with if I don't. People tend to focus on the perks when looking at The Nerdery from the outside - but they are just frosting on the culture that really drives what makes them great. It is the way the treat their people, and drive to become better, all while maintaining growth rates that normally kill that kind of thing.

Cons

It is faced paced and challenging, and you are expected to be more autonomous than you would be in other workplaces. This can be a difficult thing to get used to for some people, and they don't last long here.
