Pros

There was a $15 day lunch stipend. Car service home if working late hours. The Best person there is the CEO. He appears to be the only level headed one and comes into the office, while IT managers bark orders from their homes in their PJ's

Cons

Where do I start, this IT dept supports thousands of employees and yet is well understaff. The managers don't care if you die at your desk. They are all working from home as you are made to come everyday into the office. Managers are in meetings all day long and are so far removed from actuality and don't give a sht about you. ZERO work life balance, ZERO. You will be lucky if you get to eat your lunch. Most management have tapped out years ago.

Dear Former Technical Support Analyst, First, I want to start by saying that Nespresso values the contribution each employee makes to the overall culture of our organization. We are always looking for ways to invest in the wellbeing of our employees and provide them with the tools they need to succeed in their roles. I appreciate your kind words on me as a CEO. I feel incredibly proud to lead the Nespresso USA market, with so many smart, capable employees, motivated to see coffee as a force for good while driving continually strong business results. That being said, there is always value in continually training and developing our people, particularly managers. We offer an abundance of trainings and re-trainings including learning and development geared specifically to people leaders to manage effectively and empathetically. At Nespresso, we offer flexible scheduling as a way to actively promote and implement ways of working to better support work-life balance. When used effectively, this flexible scheduling allows employees to manage their time in office and at home as it best suits them and their teams. Keeping an open dialogue with your manager is the best way to maintain a schedule that empowers you to be your best. To your point on technology, we are consistently working to improve our infrastructure and support across the company. I am confident that with a renewed laser focus in this area, we can strengthen our business and capabilities even more. I value your feedback. Please reach out to me directly if you would like to discuss further. Sincerely, Alfonso Gonzalez CEO, Nespresso North America

Pros

Benefits and mobility as it is a big company

Cons

I had serious trouble with one of the upper managers regarding racism and sexism and when I tried to contact the HR to bring my situation to the table, they couldn't care less. I was told very inappropriate stuffs such as 'this job is not for a woman cause people won't trust you' and 'I am just saying it to you because you are not American'. I never felt so humiliated in my whole life. Posting it here is a way that I found to contribute to my community and also to stand up for myself.

Hello, At Nespresso USA, it's important that we provide a diverse and inclusive work environment for all of our employees. We are proud to say that women currently make up more than half of our entire employee population and fill more than half of our Director and Manager level positions. Our Senior Leadership Team is nearly half female, which proves to be highly successful. As a global company, our workforce demographics consist of employees from a variety of different backgrounds, cultures, and nationalities – cultural diversity at Nespresso USA is one of our many strengths according to our last employee survey. Our people are the key to our success and many of our employees have grown with us by taking on roles in different locations, departments and even different operating companies within Nestlé Global. That said, your comment regarding one of our upper managers is concerning and we would like to know more. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly, I’m happy to discuss further. All the best, Alfonso Gonzalez CEO, Nespresso USA

Pros

Excellent product with a sterling customer service reputation. Good benefits.

Cons

Short-sighted upper management ideals. All indications point to the corporate desire to be a luxury, boutique brand, yet machines are available at Target, Kohls and Costco in addition to all major mall stores (Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Sur La Table and Williams-Sonoma. Very few experience store managers and turn-over is extremely high amongst managers and assistant mangers. Very little corporate support to stores.
