My thoughts on my time at Net@Work

Pros

Great opportunity to learn a number of technologies and business processes. Employees are given numerous opportunities to prove their abilities, both technical and managerial, far earlier than in a traditional organization. Net@Work offers a much wider range of opportunities than a corporate job and this wealth of experience goes a long way towards maturing the employee. Probably the best thing about Net@Work, and what I miss most, is the staff. Smart, creative and professional.

Cons

If you're not driven to succeed and improve yourself, N@W may not be the place for you. While N@W has made strides to help define career paths and help you along the way, more can be done in this area. Don’t expect your career to advance if you’re not actively working on bettering yourself.

Pros

Every project you work on will be unique and you're almost always going to be challenged to acquire new skills - sometimes company paid. If you like working in the heart of a major city, you will find that here. There is some room for career growth.

Cons

Pay scale is low for the area. Career growth usually comes as the result of a good employee threatening to leave or showing up with an offer letter.

Pros

great place for a newbie to start out and learn the ropes of the small and midsize smb space. Lots of flexibility and product suites. Great for self starters

Cons

Experienced workers may find subpar salary and benefits. You are expected to self learn everything with little or no mentoring, management is slow on performance reviews.
