Pros

Can be very easy to coast in your role at a certain level, if that's what you're going for, and the pay is decent.

Cons

NetEase is quagmire of organizational chaos by design (e.g., there are no org charts so you never know who to work with to effect change). Eastern leaders are constantly trying to make political power plays, which only hurts the teams building products that would actually make the company money (e.g., disparaging other teams they don't control so that they can take over those projects). There is little transparency or trust for western employees, who are largely used as tokens to give the appearance of a western-friendly company. Despite the company's desire to build successful games in the west, they hamstring their product teams with small budgets and micromanagement (e.g., the CEO may review teams' budgets and personally redlight/greenlight projects depending on his personal preferences). Employees from the eastern market research teams are completely inept when it comes to data rigor and more often than not use anecdotal evidence to bolster their arguments (e.g., data points are often an n = 1 sample size). Avoid this company at all costs, they are cancer.
