-reasonable money -remote working available -decent holiday allowance -good work/life balance

Cons

-felt there was no respect for junior staff members -presented with no progression opportunities -very little training/onboarding given -regularly ignored by management

* Shared kitchen - free lunch.

Cons

* Intern projects are badly planned, and in some cases don't even exercise much software engineering/programming/computer science skills. * Everyone talks to each other over Skype, even if they're sat next to each other, which makes it a very uncomfortable environment.

Severely lacking good management

Pros

Free lunch, relatively high salary for the location. Very sociable colleagues with lots of (unofficial) meals, pub nights etc. Relaxed atmosphere with flexible working hours.

Cons

Poor management with no structure in place. New employees are left to get on with it with little training. Large number of interns taken on each summer to relieve full time employees for holiday, however at one point more interns than full time staff, so quite challenging to deal with. Lots of old, unmaintainable code with little effort in the way of refactoring/improving the codebase. Very few "new projects" exist. Management and sales staff reap benefits and large bonuses from work done by developers - quite demoralising
