Pros

It’s difficult to list all the pros honestly but here’s a few: - outstanding colleagues - outstanding perks - pay - everyone is open and willing to share their work and knowledge - great cross department and team collaboration I’ve been here for a while now and the honey moon stage still hasn’t worn off. I’d say a lot of the negative reviews are customer service related and they’re not a good indicator of our corporate environment.

Cons

There are no cons to working here. I realize it’s a per department and per org opinion but from my experiences, there have been no cons.

Pros

The people are the reason I joined Netflix and continue to enjoy my job every day. The culture is true when it says Netflix hires stunning colleagues. I am empowered to make decisions without manager approval. Unlike other companies I have worked for, Netflix trusts that the employees are using good judgement to make the best decisions for the company. (No hiring committee or CEO approval to hire) Your job is as big as you make it. If you see an opportunity for impact you don't need to ask permission, make it happen.

Cons

It takes time find and hire stunning colleagues so roles often go unfilled for longer than desired

Pros

Organic juices and couple of non-Gmo Snacks. But all the rest is GMO.

Cons

Contractors are used, abused, kicked to the curb and finally fired. The company takes no responsibility whats so ever for all the people who are inevitably loosing or will loose their job in a matter of very few months or in the worst case scenario, right before health insurance is about to kick in. There is no such thing as "high performance". The company just uses and abuses, hire and fire, really talented people found by a random staffing agency that will promise you 6 months+. Netflix prefers to hire full time "likable" people only, not skilled people. Upper management simply micro manages every little baby step you are allowed to take, yet full time peers will bash you and take you down until you are fired. The company will not fire people that have been working there for a while even though they cannot keep up with the company growth. Full time peers with less skills, less education, and less valuable experience will clearly tell you to back off and will stab you in the back until you are gone, since you represent a threat to them.
