Pros

The pros will never outweigh the cons at this company.

Cons

I would encourage anyone seeking employment with New Balance to consider these points: 1. Employees are treated very poorly and contractors are treated even worse. 2. Senior management is out of touch with what is really happening both inside and outside of the business. Most of them are severely under qualified. They also micromanage heavily. 3. Middle management needs a serious overhaul or at least better situational training. Some teams are ran by favoritism. 4. The company is fairly flat. Don’t expect pay to increase or any movability in terms of title or moving to another department. No recognition is provided either. 5. Virtually no training is provided by HR or your internal team so you’ll definitely feel unsupported 99% of the time. 6. Pay will be average at best. Most people are severely underpaid for their responsibilities. 7. Resources are horribly limited but yet sales and output are expected to increase. New Balance may have been a good company to work for several years ago but this is no longer the case now. So many employees all over the company are leaving because of the facts mentioned above.

Pros

New Balance has good bennefits and good pay. That is the only thing going for it.

Cons

The management treats you like children. They tell you they want your input but only if its what they want to hear. If you disagree with a supervisor or team leader they will find a reason to get rid of you.You will be alright if you dont mind being treated like a robot. I was there 5 years and my supervisor got mad at me and said I didnt know how tto do my job.

Pros

* Great momentum and energy. * Employees that generally passionate and care about the brand and moving it forward. * Trusted and Respected Brand.

Cons

* Stale management afraid of taking risks. * Small company mindset inhibits growth and opportunity. * "We've always done it this way" attitude leaves little room to realize full potential of the brand and it's employees. * Management too comfortable in their roles go unchallenged and feel threatened by anyone they see as competition. * Lack of leadership and professional development not encouraged. * Incompetent management that choose to focus on the wrong things in order to have some semblance of control instead of encouraging new ways of thinking or doing things to move the company forward. * Too many people do not understand their role or the roles of others leading to confusion, chaos and disorder. * Lazy managers that come into the office to socialize and collect a paycheck.
