Pros

Flexible Scheduling, Flexible Vacation, Wage Negotiation, clients located in lots of locations in the Puget Sound, Critical Care Experience, Positive Family Dynamics. New Care is open to moving nurses to different families if burn out occurs. Big bonuses if you work full time and know to ask.

Cons

Wage inequity: You and the other nurses on your case will all be paid differenty. Its depressing to browse the adds online and see new nurses being hired for more than old experienced nurses and seeing big bonuses for a case you're on, but only offered for new hires. Family dynamics with some families can be intense (ex. Drug abuse, Patient Neglect by families, Parents that Hover and Micro Manage, Families that Fight With Each Other, Parents that put down nurses) Most nursing jobs have this issue but since you are with the same familes constantly abusive enviornments can get exhausting. Pro is building tolerance and thick skin if you can deal with it.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We try to make fair decisions based on a number of variables. Based on feedback that we received, New Care added a night differential. It is a wonderful benefit that we are happy to provide to our nurses. We encourage our nurses to communicate with us as much and as often as possible. We especially don’t want them to hesitate if they are in a situation that makes them feel uncomfortable. With our 24/7 on-call clinical team in place, supporting our nurses around-the-clock is extremely important to us. We are committed to creating a safe, comfortable, transparent and collaborative environment for all of our employees. Feedback like this only makes us better; we appreciate it!

Pros

Makes employees feel valued - recognizes birthdays, anniversaries and when you pick up shifts Works with your schedule as much as possible to find solutions for time off or school schedule

Cons

Depending on the patient and team you might have to work weekends, nights or early mornings. Comes with the territory and industry though.

Pros

Great integration between the patients, families, and the nursing staff

Cons

Company has no scruples regarding the health or wellbeing of its employees. I have heard management defaming employees in front of other staff or patient families. Worst company I have ever worked for with. The reason I’m still there is because the connection I have with my clients make it hard to just leave them. If any RNs are out there are torn about NCC and looking at this review, keep job searching, trust me you can do better.

Thank you for this review. We are very sorry to hear that you had an unpleasant experience during your employment. We hold ourselves to a very high standard of integrity and it sounds like something was amiss here. New Care wouldn’t be here today if it was not for our amazing nursing staff. We are so proud of our entire team. We do our best to try and relay that message and hope to continue to do so going forward. We really appreciate your feedback!
