Pros

No pros to list unfortunately.

Cons

Speak with someone about this company before you make a bad decision. This is basically a Temp Agency that contracts sales agents with the worst builders. The builders are so bad that they resorted to hiring thru a Temp Agency

Thank you for your feedback about your time with New Home Star. We'd like to clarify that New Home Star is not a temp agency. We are a sales and marketing company that partners with successful new home builders across the country who outsource the sales function of their business to New Home Star. Our number one core value at New Home Star is to create excellent careers for our people, and it sounds like we missed the mark during your tenure. If you'd like to provide any further feedback please don't hesitate to contact us at humanresources@newhomestar.com.

Pros

Plenty of access for sales training courses.

Cons

Super micro management--spends to much time on meetings and games rather than allowing the sales team to sell--

Pros

Company does provide sales training although it is a collaboration of typical popular sales books. New Real Estate Agents will learn through the training, but any good Real Estate Firm will offer the same training.

Cons

Terrible Management. Broken promises of position advancement. Training is a manual roll playing. The training is very old school "sells-sells-sells" approach. The company philosophy is similar to a used car sells approach. This is by far the worst company I have every worked for in my career. If you want to be a Real Estate Agent, work for a well known firm- do not waste your time

I'm sorry to hear that your experience with New Home Star was not a positive one. We make a conscientious effort to develop a customized training approach that develops sales associates of all experience levels. In reference to your comment regarding our company philosophy being similar to that of a used car sales approach, we feel that our approach to training is more sophisticated and dynamic than what you might find in the auto sales industry. However, it sounds as though you did not experience this. Our people are our number one priority and we take their careers very seriously. Since we started in business in 2008, we have seen many sales associates progress through our career advancement process to become successful managers and directors in our company. Growing our leaders organically is a major emphasis at New Home Star. We wish you well in your future pursuits.
