You will meet some nice people, who are laid back and don't really care to move business or projects quickly. If you come from a big city or corporation that moves with a fast pace, working with NMSU is the equivalent of taking your foot off the gas completely while on the highway, and just letting the car roll to the end point.

Cons

High turnover of presidents and gaps between presidents has impacted this univeristies ability to get anything done. Also, the internal politics are so bad between faculty, colleges, etc.

Support for employees in terms if HR, training, benefits. It’s a beautiful campus to work at.

Cons

No help, people retire or leave snd aren’t replaced or replaced with low experience cheaper employees so remaining experienced employees keep getting more and more work piled on.
