Pros

The product is good and the users love us. It's intuitive and easy to use. The people here are great and we band together to make sure we are taken care of. We work hard and everyone contributes to the product in ways we can see in production.

Cons

There has been systematic discrimination of women engineers and some people in the LGBT++ community. People who are fully qualified and meet the requirements for promotions are passed over. Others have raised issues where it is clear their manager is being discriminatory and they are not listened to. It is very sad. We have such a broad spectrum of people working in this office, but we predominately have white male leaders. I've(we've) brought this up to HR multiple times and our HR business associate in the office doesn't listen to us. She doesn't actually seem to help solve anything in our office. We have nowhere to turn. We've brought the issues up in open forums and also in smaller dialogues with our HR business associate as well as leadership and we don't seem to make any progress. I have seen multiple examples of questionable ethics related to terminations and promotions - again - brought up to HR business associate with no visible actions.

New Relic Response

First, I’d like to say thank you for your honest feedback. We take this type of feedback very seriously and I am obviously disheartened to hear of this. My main concern is that you feel that you have raised issues that have fallen on deaf ears. We have a process in place to investigate every complaint and take measures to rectify. You might not always know what the response is, because we often have to keep next steps and follow-up confidential. That said, I’d like to hear from you directly and see how I can better support you. Please email me or set up time for a 1:1, I am here and I want to listen. As for the broader data, we do review our promotions for equity and overall feel good about where we are. For example, over the last 12 months we have had a proportional amount of women receive promotions -- i.e. the % of promotions that go to women is (very) slightly higher than the % of Relics who are female. This is equally true in the Product/Eng org as it is for New Relic broadly. While we acknowledge that we don’t have as many women working at New Relic as we would want, we are working hard at recruiting and retaining diverse talent (more details here: https://blog.newrelic.com/2017/07/14/diversity-inclusion-report/). Again, thank you for honesty. I hope to connect soon -- my door is always open. Kristy Chief People Officer, New Relic

Pros

Great culture Working with intelligent people Product is loved by customers Located in the heart of SF Have a coffee barista....

Cons

Management needs to be more hands on and be 'in the trenches' with the reps more often. There is zero support when it comes to getting help. The biggest con is NO ONE is making money. If I put a screen shot of the overall sales dashboard from the end of last quarter you would see all RED... Meaning no one hits quota...

Pros

Amazing, super smart people. You will learn a lot from your teammates. True collaborative environment. Support is a very diverse team.

Cons

There is a HUGE gap between Support and Engineering. Support is being told , "No" more and more. They are left out of org impact changes/opportunities and information is selectively trickled down. There is no clear path in Support. The requirements for each level are very ambiguous. When you inquire about these levels, you are given the runaround.
