-There are a lot of intelligent people at NexJ, who act as good mentors, making good opportunities to learn, depending on your projects. -*Generally* there is a decent level of technical proficiency spread across most development and professional services level resources. Most management who have several years with the company know the projects they're managing on a technical level and are not just 'people managers', but bring added value to the table. -Some departments get to work with a lot of new and interesting technologies. -For the most part the atmosphere on the ground is very amicable. Most people are easy to get along with, cooperative and willing to lend a hand (within reason considering their own responsibilities). -Good amount of responsibilities available to co-op students. -Decent benefits: good starting vacation, free in-building gym, weekly fruit and bagels (limited amounts), yearly ski trip. -Good facility: convenient access, clean modern office, ping pong table, good hardware. -Good product, has a lot of potential.

NexJ product direction adapts rapidly to industry and costumer needs, which keeps everyone shifting and learning. Every year I work at NexJ, I have a markedly different role, so I have been able to grow quickly in multiple respects. NexJ's decentralized approach to decision making means that new employees can find themselves influencing key projects much sooner than would be possible in companies of comparable size.
