Pros

The only thing is good about Nexient is the fun environment and it is flexibility of the hours. Basically everyone is coming and going in their free will as long as the job is done. That is all it matters.

Cons

The poor communications between the hiring people, management and staff. I did -5 interviews to get hired and it was clearly for entry level but the day they let me go I found out the position HR put me in was higher level and expectation of me was not what we discussed at the interview .In this company there is no second chances. They did not admit their mistake and let me go for something I had no control over.

Pros

I have been here for over a year and do not see what the negative raters see. Here is my take: This is a mature start-up. Yes, they try to save costs (using skype vs. fancy video rooms) and such. We get the assets (laptops and such) from our clients. The management is amazing. Everybody will talk to you. Very friendly. There is a healthy mix of youth and experienced. From my vantage point, it's all about your work ethic, productivity and ability to communicate. If you perform, the company will take care of you. If you don't, well... I have had lunch with the CEO and more than a few VP's stop in and say hello. My manager is extraordinary. He is talented and humorous.

Cons

I have heard the pay is low but I think it is fair. Junior devs really can't graduate from college and have their first job start at 70k. Maybe it does in some places but not everywhere. The company needs a matching 401k plan.

Pros

Two game rooms and please do your favor and don't apply here.

Cons

- Poor Benefits and no 401k match - Politics, politics and politics - Incompetent middle, senior and executive management. They spend a lot of money hiring useless executives from gambling cities and they have no clue what they're talking about. Full of nonsense. - No work/life balance, you're expected to come to work, even if you're sick as a dog. Military Environment! - No career growth and reviewers below are lying. Only few people out of couple hundred people got promotions be - Management bribes people to post reviews - Company's business model is like an Indian call centers, don't expect much - Compensation is low, they pay Jr. $40-50k, mid. $53-65k, not enough to live in Ann Arbor - Clients expects to get things done today and management expects to get things done now - HR is big time trouble at this place.
