Pros

- Learned a ton about the many facets of networking and of it's intricacies - This job will expose you to the water instead of just dipping your toes in - There are some very intelligent and wonderful people at this company - Accountability; this was one of the most demanding jobs I've had, but it gave me a strong work ethic and taught me self-discipline - Catered food every Friday, ice cream every other Wednesday, and breakfast every Monday from Lock, Stock, and Bagel

Cons

- Could pay better, but the experience you will gain is invaluable - Underestimate their employees. No one can truly know an individual unless they are analyzed in-depth. I think that there is some really prime talent at this company that doesn't get the recognition they deserve.

Pros

In short, it's a great company. It's always been growing fast but right now feels like it's growing faster than ever before. I'd say this based on what everyone tells me. I mean it’t super fast paced and the growth is fast. What I like is that it hasn’t changed for the worse like my last company. I was at zenefits before. Firsthand I got to witness a company that went to over a thousand people right away and I saw a major change in practically everything for the worse. Zenefits was hiring everyone right away. Here it’s an enormous difference. People are sincere and leadership cares. I like to see the promoting from within and I like how there is a desire to keep customers happy. Which is very different for companies these days. Things like food in the office, events, helping nonprofits are great to see. The product is something most businesses need and that’s not changing. People in the office are friendly and approachable. There’s a dedication to the well-being of employees. Based on where I’ve worked and in talking to my friends in Arizona, Nextiva would get the crown as the best company in Arizona.

Cons

Turnover of new employees seems high. The hiring process needs to improve. Maybe the firing process too. It's not like Zenefits but Nextiva can be much better than it is. I’d rather give 4 and a half stars overall. But the opportunity and what I’ve been doing at nextiva has been too good to knock them down a point. I know that some people just don’t fit in. But there still needs to be a better job of setting expectations, hiring people, or getting people knowledgeable about the company. From my lens it just doesn’t feel right. Turnover is expensive and the company can save money and be so much better if the right people are hired and supported the right way from the get go. This isn’t a Zenefits situation that was hiring college kids that came to party and not to work, so don’t get me wrong. I get frustrated when I hear about someone leaving or getting fired and I don’t know what is being done to make this better. For a company that’s been around for so long it needs to be better. I want to be at Nextiva for a long time and I wish the people I started with would be in the same position. I’ve learned that it’s not the kind of company where you come in and do the standard time and move up the ladder. You have to stand out and take charge. I got this advice from my first manager and it’s helped but it’s not a philosophy that’s promoted enough and that may be one reason why people leave. Because they don’t know. If you are not bought in to the company, it’s a tough place to come to every day.

Pros

You do have a opportunity to make 4-5k per month. Not easy but possible. The people there are nice. They do have fun. Free lunch on Fridays. Pretty nice job if you are happy making 3k per month.

Cons

They make it sound easy. Like "anyone who works hard can make the target" and therefore make 5k or so a month. I actually have a decent sales background and worked my butt off and was not able to make my target even after 4-5 months of work.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and share your experience. We are sorry you did not feel that you could make the impact you expected during your time with us. I just wanted to take a minute and respond to some of your concerns. Our management team and company in general is very open about the process it takes to close deals on a consistent basis and regularly earning $5-$7k per month. I am sure we shared with you during the interview and new hire process that the first 6 months are going to be the toughest time you will have with us. Our product is complex and has many nuances. This makes the learning curve a little longer than other products. Also, this is a pipeline business and you spend the first few months outside of training building your pipeline and becoming acclimated to the sales process. After your first six months, it becomes much easier to navigate the sales process and start increasing your commission. Some of our top producers have taken up to nine months before they hit their stride. It is not ideal, but it is the reality of our business. We are very transparent with this, as we do not want to mislead anyone when making the decision to join our team. I am sorry that you were not able to get to a place where you felt you were making what you needed to. Based on your review, I think you may have thrown in the towel a little too soon. However, we wish you the best in your future endeavors and we thank you for the positive things you have said about us. Best of Luck!
