Pros

Good company, good discount, strong family at the helm (4th generation). Get to work with latest IT technologies. Some good teams

Cons

Nordstrom Technology has become a sad place to work, numbers at all cost is what matter, this has created and maintains a toxic work atmosphere.

Pros

Pro used to be culture. Not any more. Pro - discount

Cons

No employee development. Throw away culture (meaning, they use you and toss you aside). Current leadership are in it for themselves, not for the good of Nordstrom. No integrity with current IT leadership. (ie flat out lie to employees). Not the same company as when I started. Very sad for the Nordstrom Family as I don't think they know how bad some parts of IT are.

Pros

Shopping Discount in the Stores.

Cons

Tech Leadership is causing chaos. There's no vision, roadmap, trust or communication. Inverted pyramid is dead.

Hello, Thank you for your candid feedback. My name is Patrick Welch, and I’m the Vice President of Technology at Nordstrom. I appreciate your sharing this issue with us, especially as we continue our work streamlining our processes across teams. This begins with the way our managers communicate Nordstrom’s vision and give employees ownership over their work, and I apologize if we’ve missed the mark so far during your time with us. As we work to improve, it would be very helpful to hear more details about your experience so that we can resolve this issue and learn where we can go from here. If you have the time, please send me a personal message at NordTechFeedback@nordstrom.com with any further input you can provide. Sincerely, Patrick Welch VP Technology Nordstrom
