Pros

Nordstrom has some good benefits, and if you really work hard and focus on sales, you will be rewarded. Nordstrom has an excellent reputation, so most customers come in with a positive impression. Nordstrom has very strict policies for appearance and customer service, so you don't feel like you are working in a teenager's bedroom, like some stores. Vendor meetings and free product giveaways are also nice.

Cons

Commissioned retail can be very demanding, and at Nordstrom there is the added layer of "the customer is always right". You really need to be able to manage your temper, and stay in control, even if a customer is treating you poorly. Success is almost entirely based on your ability to meet your sales goals, and that can be stressful.
