Pros

Individual team, benefits, remote, equipment stipend, internet stipend

Cons

Pay is below industry standard, desperate attempts by HR to be “woke”, but completely tone deaf. Upper management and csuite do not care about employees. No advancement opportunities to be heard of. They churn and burn employees.

Thank you for taking time to leave us your feedback. We are pleased that our wellbeing-based benefits and perk’s including flexible, remote work, excellent benefits and various stipends added value to your time at NAB. It is difficult to read your 'cons' and not take your comments about our HR team making desperate attempts to be "woke" a bit personally. Given in 2023 we received two separate ‘Best Company To Work For’ awards AND a Best In Class D, E & I Award for our efforts to drive belonging and inclusion (particularly through our focus on team member wellbeing) it’s very difficult to reconcile your comments. As a member of the C Suite I can absolutely confirm that we spend most of our time together focused on the wellbeing of our team members and ways we can improve and promote a strong, positive culture at NAB. Unfortunately, it looks like we have fallen short of your expectations so I welcome you to reach out to me directly to discuss this further. We are not perfect, but we are always focused on continuous improvement and welcome objective feedback that we can use to get better. Thank you again for your time and hopefully I will hear back from you personally.

Pros

Not sure. I did like some of the people I worked with.

Cons

Constant turnover, lack of communication, love to celebrate the wins but never talk about or fix the losses, upper management pawns off work and responsibility for her own team. sink or swim mentality.

We appreciate your review and your feedback. As I oversee all of HR including our Payroll team, I look at your feedback from an "NAB" lens as well as a "People Operations" lens given you say you were a Payroll Specialist. I am glad you mentioned liking some of the people you worked with...I truly believe we have one of the best HR teams I have ever had the good fortune to work with so I agree with you on that front. As far as the con's you do have me shaking my head a bit - things like constant turnover, lack of communication and never fixing the losses is so far removed from the culture on our team. If you worked on this team in the past 3.5 years, you know we follow the EOS system so team and individual communication AND addressing issues happens at all levels every week. We also follow lean leadership principles which are founded on problem solving and continuous improvement. All of that said, I highly encourage you to reach out to me directly to share your thoughts and feedback. I am always open to ideas on ways to improve and welcome the conversation. Thank you again for taking the time to share your opinion, I hope to hear from you personally.

Pros

On-boarding and training is great. A majority of the employees here are friendly.

Cons

The company does not have vision. Marc (their CEO) is too busy buying other companies to take the time to lay out his vision of what the company should be, or how to integrate the companies he acquired. Their development roadmaps continually get disrupted because Marc keeps changing the Dev team's priorities. They seem to be on a campaign to hire new talent, and just throw them into roles without giving them the tools or guidance they need to succeed. It's very difficult to make improvements here. And when you fail to meet their expectations (due to their lack of support), they will terminate you. Just recently, their Sales group alone saw two VPs and a C-suite sales executive fired after being employed about a year (or less). Things are so bad there that their Chief Experience Officer (Jim Parkinson) posted on Linkedin on Feb 15, 2023 that he was leaving the company in April (likely due to his frustration with the CEO), only to backpedal on March 31, 2023 and share that he was staying. I know any negative review often sounds like a disgruntled former employee trying to hurt their former employer. My advice is to be cautious if you are leaving a good job for a job here. Search Linkedin for former employees and ask them for their thoughts before accepting a position here.

It was disappointing to see your one-star review and since you specifically mentioned Jim Parkinson, NABs Chief Experience Officer, in your feedback, I asked Jim to collaborate on this response. Jim shared; "I always appreciate the feedback, but it makes sense to get some facts straight. First, I was planning to leave to explore more personal/security/social protection technology research, and I decided to stay because my NAB teammates and the loyalty we have for each other and to the company are important to me. I love the team at NAB, and after further reflection, I decided my work here wasn't done. Second, at NAB we have a vision for growth that includes internal/organic opportunities as well as acquisition opportunities. We target acquisitions that are aligned with our business model and have opportunities for synergies and process improvements using our proven technology and other shared service resources. We have a collaborative focus on making our acquisitions successful at every level and function within NAB. As anyone knows, successfully integrating acquisitions takes time and an intentional strategy - and yes, we must make hard decisions - but our acquisition track record speaks for itself. From personal experience I can say that we value every person at NAB. I would encourage anyone who is considering joining our growing team to speak to CURRENT team members for an honest assessment of what it's like to work in our fast paced yet innovative and collaborative environment. I appreciate your concern and your feedback but it's important to me to make it clear that I did not "backpedal" but wanted to stay at NAB because we have an amazing future being built by some of the best, most talented people I have ever had the privilege to work with."
