-A lot of hours, because they're understaffed -Good pay

Cons

-No work/life balance -Department is unfair and plays favorites -Does one thing for one employee, but says they can't do it for another. -Can't work the shift? The person who makes the schedule will be rude unless she gets her way and you just take the shift. -It will take you years to get a part-time position from on-call. -Does not keep track of employees who don't do any work/have complaints from fellow employees and will scold employees who work hard if they're not picking up the slack

great co-workers for the most part; yearly anniversary raises for first 5 years plus cost-of-living raises (some years, depending on budget); 0.8 FTE and higher pay only $35/paycheck for health insurance for a family (free if only for self)

Cons

No more tuition reimbursement program. 403B match is low initially, like 1% for first year, 2% after that. It goes up with years of service. No more than 7% eventually.

People are treated as disposable, unless they have established relationships with senior management. Turnover indicates serious problems within departments.
