Then one day, out of nowhere, with no comunication we do they are installed. 6)"We do not carry pediatric pulse ox probes because they are too expensive." This is what a manager said. 7)You have to put in for seniority based pto 6 months in advance and then it takes 4 months to actually approve or deny it. 8)The promotion to Paramedic II is for experienced Paramedics. It is routinely given to dispatchers with ZERO experience on an ambulance as a paramedic. 9)If you disagree with a manager at any time, your career is all but over. You will have eyes on you non stop. Look for another job. 10)Management operates with the assumption that you are the laziest stupidest creature alive. 11)Why are people with the same job duties paid up to $10K/year less even when they have more experience in some instances? 12)This departments has probably the highest turn over rate in the entire health system. People are hired and fired constantly 13)Requires mentioning again. If you are not a white male, born and raised and currently living in Nassau or Suffolk counties you will not fit in or be promoted.
