Pros

Company is hiring new managers who are bringing valuable experience and ideas from other companies. President John Corapi is focused on improving operations and maintaining high customer service. Offices in Seattle, Pasadena, Bay Area, Portland, Las Vegas, and Boise-area offer stable employment. Privately held company that prides itself on serving its clients well through long-standing relationships. True support for work-life balance.

Cons

Outdated technology, limited telecommuting, vacation/sick leave rather than PTO.

Pros

The majority of the folks working at NWA truly due care about the customer and walk the walk. There's a lot of bright ideas coming out of the most recent new hires that if fully implemented will elevate the company in some exciting ways. If you are looking for a place to make your mark this could potentially be it depending on the department.

Cons

The benefits are outdated compared to industry standards. The lack of sick time when you start is the reason I had to part ways with the company. This was just a really bad situation all-around but a more liberal sick time policy would greatly benefit the company in ensuring everyone can focus on getting better without stressing about where their next paycheck will come from.

Northwest Administrators Response

Thank you very much for your feedback. Providing exceptional customer service to all of our clients is one of our core values, and we are happy you recognized that during your time at NWA. We are also excited about many of those bright ideas from associates that you mentioned as we strive to take a team approach with an ongoing, committed focus on process improvement and innovation. As an administrator of employee benefits, we truly understand how important benefits are to our associates, and feel that we offer a very competitive and comprehensive package. At least annually we benchmark our benefits using objective sources, including but not limited to Mercer. We are disappointed, however, that our benefits did not meet your personal needs.
