Pros

Good pay and benefits. Dedicated staff. Great leadership at the very top. Strong advocate for libraries and cultural heritage organizations.

Cons

Complex systems that don't integrate well. Moving target strategies. Back breaking workloads. Top heavy with VPs. Dictatorial and highly political middle management.

Pros

Good benefits, location, gym, cafeteria, work/life balance. People are friendly and willing to help. Clears out at 5:00. Matrix organization with flexibility to work from home.

Cons

Stuck in the 1980's. Very slow and resistant to change. Many, many missed deadlines. No opportunity for advancement (but some managers are good about offering awards, bonuses, etc.) Meetings start 15 minutes late with folks wondering in/out and mgrs. glued to blackberries.

Pros

Good training in Dublin Locally there was familial type relationship among peers Somewhat flexible Dynamic enviornment

Cons

Well, Politics got a profitable division kicked to the curb without a thought for their employees The prima-donna upper management in Dublin didn't have the nerve to come to tell us we were sold If you aren't in Dublin, job security is a joke
